Sustainability
The UN’s global sustainability goal number 12 is the core of Naomi’s sustainability work. We want to carry out the transition to sustainable production and consumption by engaging in sustainable raw material production, developing recyclable products and packaging solutions based on recovered or renewable materials, reducing the climate footprint of our products and developing products for a better everyday life. The work for sustainability goal number 12 also contributes to several of the other sustainability goals.
A CALL FOR RECYCLING
Our Naomi products are made of the finest platinum silicone, and they are made to last a long time. They are made to withstand a hectic life in a family with small children, many rounds in the dishwasher and thousands of knocks and falls.
All our products are made with consideration for and love for the nature around us. We are by no means on target with our sustainability goals, but we are constantly striving for the next choice we have to make to be as gentle as possible to both nature and the people in it. We have chosen to design our products in platinum silicone because this is a safe material that does not emit any kind of toxic chemicals, but nevertheless it should of course not be “thrown” into nature.
We are working to create a return scheme for used products so that the silicone from our Naomi products can be converted and reused into something useful, but we are not yet there. In the meantime, we hope that you can be creative yourself and find good solutions for reuse.
You can, for example;
✅ pass the product on to someone who has small children
✅ maybe the family dog will be happy with a new bowl?
✅ let the children play with the products in the sandbox
✅ the plate floats – perfect in the bath
✅ give the flowers new water bowls
✅ use two plates as storage boxes
Whatever you do, do not treat our products so that they accidentally end up in nature. They don’t belong there. Let them be a part of life itself for many, many years and then pass them on to someone else who can enjoy them when you and yours feel finished.
